Entering the Dakini Mandala: Dakini Heart Essence Foundations - Sadhana and Thoery
In addition to reviewing and deepening the principle sadhanas, this course will provide a broader overview of Dakini practice in relationship to the Three Roots(Lama, Yidam and Khandro).
The Lama is the root of blessings, the Yidam is the root of accomplishment, the Dakini is the root of activities. We will explore what this means as well as how different sadhanas operate within the three Inner Tantras, and the interweaving of the views and practices of these vehicles.
For instance, one may find the view of Anuyoga woven into a Mahayoga deity practice, or that the practice is held within Ati.
We will provide an introduction to Vajravarahi and theories related to the Dakinimandala, re-envisioning the body, aggregates and elements from the view of select Heart Essence traditions.
We will explore the relationship between Method and Wisdom, and address the balance of Feminine and Masculine in Buddhist Yoga
And as a group, we will share and exchange about personal meaning and the psychological orientation that these practices offer to our own integration and embodiment.
The new format includes three lengthier, live classes and extensive self study recordings and materials.
We will also introduce basic principles of yogic breath and meditation (Intro to Anuyoga). Emphasis will be on abiding in nonconceptual wisdom.
